Serval...

Another little guy we got to meet a few days ago... also classified as one of the smaller cats servals have spindle shaped pupils unlike caracals whose pupils dilate into circles and not slits.

I have a home in Africa where the wild wind blows and the hornbills rest
I have a place in Africa where a caracal sleeps as the wild wind blows.

Love the cut out four leave clover on the chairs, love the interesting canvas against the wall, love the distressed wooden table.Wonderful contrast against the other  four more formal dining room chairs.

Today I had the most unique experience –to be within half a meter from a wild leopard… not tamed, not sedated… WILD with just with some wire mesh between us. And what a fierce creature.

You think that when you approach them they might cower in the back but no, she came straight at me, teeth showing, her claws flying everything and with this sound that you cannot even imagine, a hiss like a steam train but a thousand times more intense.

It is a day like today that you realise how small we are, how defenceless against natures beautiful creatures.

It is a day like today that I find it so silly that us humans think we are superior.

Such beauty...

A little warmth..

...on a cold winters evening.

No Ordinary love...

Eventually my Camilla D'Errico Fine Art print is framed and hung ...
